Google Play Music is a music/podcast streaming service operated by Google. Announced on May 10, 2011 and in a six-month invitation-only beta period, it was publicly launched November 16, 2011.

For the standard free plan, users can upload and listen to 50,000 songs from their personal libraries with no cost.

For US$9.99 per month, an "All Access" plan allows users to stream many song in the Google Play Music catalog on-demand. It also comes with YouTube Music Premium. For $14.99 per month, these features can be made available for up to six family members.

YouTube Premium is available to users in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, South Korea, Austria, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Russia, Spain, and Sweden with the "All Access" plan.

The Google Play Music apps for Android and iOS allow music to be stored offline.
